Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT): An Overview
In general, inhaling 100% oxygen by increasing the pressure in a chamber by 2 to 3 atmospheres (ATA) (corresponding to water pressure at a depth of 10 to 20m) or more.
In a pressurized environment, construction occurs at 2 to 3 ATA above atmospheric pressure. This setup allows a significant amount of high-purity oxygen to dissolve in the blood, which is then supplied to the body through the capillaries. This process is fundamental to the principles of oxygen therapy, as it improves hypoxia by increasing the oxygen concentration in the body. The inhalation of high-purity oxygen (99.9%) inside the HBOT chamber maximizes the HBOT benefits, providing abundant dissolved oxygen to enhance overall health.
